The Reconnection Springs into 2004!
Welcome to your Spring 2004 edition. We hope this issue finds you happy, healthy and flowing with light and information. Our year has been extremely exciting and busy, and we want to catch you up on all of the latest activities. Additionally, we’re including in this issue a “sneak preview” of our truly special Third Annual Mastery and Business Development Conference, to be held in Sedona this Fall. And this is one conference you’ll definitely want to attend!
Year in Review
This year started with lots of new and exciting changes and events. We’ve created a new website, hired more staff and have taught more than 12 seminars. In addition to our own events, Eric has been a featured speaker presenting Reconnective Healing® at prominent conferences both nationally and internationally, including two engagements with the Omega Institute. We’ve traveled to both coasts in the US, across Canada, and even to Costa Rica! Our joy in all of this is, that since January, the work that we are all doing has touched over 3000 additional lives this year with the Essence lectures alone. And, we’ve trained approximately 1500 new practitioners. This brings our total number of practitioners to over 10,000!
We’re also thrilled to announce that our book, The Reconnection, is now in its tenth printing in the US and going into its eighth language! Your help in sharing this message globally is both highly successful and very much appreciated. For this we are all very thankful!
Breakthrough Speaking Engagements
During the year, Eric has represented us by presenting at some outstanding breakthrough professional conferences and speaking engagements. These include the International Parker Chiropractic Seminar in Las Vegas, the American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA) conference “The Soul of Medicine” and at the International Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) Conference in Phoenix where he was a keynote speaker. These presentations were given to sell-out crowds, and the work was incredibly well received. This spring we are recognizing a breakthrough year for recognition of this work on multiple levels.
In Canada, Eric was a keynote speaker at Toronto’s Holistic World and again featured in Australia at Melbourne’s Mind Body Spirit Festival. He was a main speaker at the Hay House “I Can Do It” Conference in Las Vegas, where he spoke alongside Wayne Dyer, Gregg Braden, Caroline Myss, Christiane Northrup, Joan Borysenko and others and will be doing so again this August in Sydney. At “I Can Do It” we sold out both of the Essence Lectures and gave a Level I Post-Conference Seminar to a yet another sold-out and excited room. There are more conferences and presentations both nationally and internationally lined up for this year, including an exciting keynote at the Edgar Cayce Foundation (ARE) in Virginia Beach in August!
As you can see, our work is becoming increasing well known. And therefore we must know that as practitioners, we must continue doing what we’re doing, reconnecting strands, reconnecting strings. And we must continue to know and continue to see, that as we do this, we are in our mastery.
“In our seeing lies our knowingness, and in our knowingness lies our mastery.”
Sedona Mastery and Business Development Conference
This Fall we have a powerful and unique program planned for our Third Annual Mastery and Practice Development Conference. Our program is being held Sept. 30 – Oct. 3 in Sedona and features an outstanding roster of internationally renowned speakers as well as various practitioners from around the world. Our main speakers and their topics include: Dr. Richard Gerber, presenting on Vibrational Medicine, Dr. Gary Schwartz, on new frontiers of research, Dr. John Demartini, on The Universal Principles and Philosophy of Healing, and once again we are honored to have Lee Carroll returning to share his insights on consciousness and some of our global shifts. Our newest team member, Pat Atanas will share insights on Prosperity Consciousness as well as Practice Management and Development , including such important areas as understanding the universal principle of fair exchange.
Our event also features Dr. Linda Powers, one of the Chiropractic world’s dynamic and compelling presenters, as she addresses the topic of “Healing Consciousness”. In addition we will be bringing you some wonderful breakout sessions from various practitioners around the world. Topics will include: Working with Animals, Reconnective Healing in Counseling and Psychotherapy Environments, How to Start, Develop and Build Your Practice, a Level III Refresher, Working with Children and Families, Healing on All Levels, and more! This year’s conference will also include an exciting dinner program: “An Evening with the Authors”, complete with entertainment.
This year two new elements have been added to the program. First, we are offering a Friends and Family Program, which will allow you to bring your non-practitioner friends and family to a some of the events. Second, we have scheduled a Post-Conference Workshop, “How to Start Your Own Practice," for those who want to jumpstart their work. You can register or learn more about both of these programs by calling our office at 323.960.0012.
Once again, we have scheduled a Level IV Pre-conference event for those who would like to become practitioner mentors, presenters and teaching assistants. You can register for this by calling our office at +1.323.960.0012 or writing to info@TheReconnection.com
To learn more about the conference click here. Register now online or by calling our office at 888 ERIC PEARL (888.374.2732) or 323.960.0012. This year’s program is being held in Sedona, Arizona at the beautiful Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa. Please note that due to space limitation of this conference venue for this very special location, we will be able to accommodate approximately only 375 people. Sedona provides a breathtaking backdrop for this year’s event. Between the world-class presenters, spectacular setting, and the magnificent energy vortexes for which the city is famous, this event will surely sell out. The practitioner fee is only $399 and includes the dinner and entertainment program. To insure that you are able to reserve your space, register as soon as possible!
Also, our Friends and Family program allows your guests to attend the main speaker sessions on Friday and/or Saturday. The program is offered at $120/day or $210/2-days, and within that program, you may choose which day(s) of main speakers most interests you. And, don’t forget, our dinner program can also be attended by Friends and Family at an additional cost of $60/person. (The Dinner program is included in the $399 fee for all full weekend attendees.)
Reconnective Practice Management Forum
This issue introduces our new columnist and team-member Pat Atanas, who will be writing a feature on how to build and enhance your practice. In each newsletter, she will include a Practice Management tip. We will also highlight new tools and support services in this section of the newsletter. Hint: Look for new classes coming soon on Reconnective Practice Management ™(RPM™) taught by Pat in various formats!
Spring 2004 Topic: Defining Patient Responsibilities
Whether you are an established practitioner or just STARTING OUT, it is important to have an “office policy” that determines exactly how you want your business to run. By defining the rules, you create an environment in which you are happy to do the work. In addition, it establishes “professional respect” from your patients which helps increase the value of services provided. This includes knowing the days and times you offer appointments, the fees you charge and the responsibilities your patients have before, during and after their healing session or Reconnection. In addressing the latter, take time to explain the following;
Let your patients/clients know what to expect and the things they need to do to make their experience as complete as possible. This includes being on time, lying face-up, eyes closed, proper selection and use of the flower essences if they choose to use them, and everything else that you know will benefit the patient. Explain when scheduling that you have reserved specific time for them and to call if something should prevent them from their “reserved” time.
When running your practice, it is important that you lead, not ask permission. When you treat your practice as a business, you bring value and an understanding of this work that enhances lives. As well, you honor the people who come to see you by allowing them to functionally support you in touching more and more people with your work. This is all a part of fair exchange and allows the people you see to own their healings. I will address other points for your business policy in future issues. The point is to establish one and enjoy delivering your services.
Is there a specific topic you want addressed to help run your practice? Please send me an email at Pat@TheReconnection.com and we will be happy to consider these issues in future tips.
By the way, are you aware of some of the latest practice development tools offered through our website? These include Web Items, which can provide you with:
1. Tools to build links from your own website to the Reconnection site;
2. Content sharing tools that allow you to directly incorporate educational material about the work on your own sites;
3. Reconnection® branded email which allows you to send/receive email from an address that lets others know that you’re a practitioner and shows your commitment to the work
4. Resources to build your own website, featuring customized content about you, your practice and the work of Reconnective Healing®
Other new tools include our Speaking Kit, which helps guide you through the planning and delivery of talks about the work in different ways and forums. For you Level IV graduates, this resource helps you plan larger public speaking engagements that enable you to bring the message to your community and surrounding communities, touching as many people with your work as possible.
Speaking of practice development, for those of you who began your Directory Listing prior to March 2003, please remember it is time for you to renew. You will be receiving a renewal notice from our office shortly. You can facilitate your renewal by sending an email to us at info@TheReconnection.com. In your email, simply confirm that you want your Directory Listing to renew and remain available to the public. Of course, if you haven’t yet elected to list your name on the Public Directory, you can do that now by visiting www.Reconnectionstore.com. Once there, you can preview and select the best listing to serve your needs.
International Growth
During the last two years, we have been bringing the light and information of this work to a larger global audience. At this point, we have over 10,000 practitioners, in over 29 countries and on 6 continents. Later this year, we will be returning to Europe, Norway and Australia through the assistance of our wonderful co-sponsors and practitioners located in these various parts of our world. Global awareness increases as we introduce the work to both
Germany, the UK and Ireland. Our year completes in Sydney, Australia, as Eric presents to over 10,000 attendees at their annual Mind, Body, Spirit Festival. Following the festival, we will offer a full complement of our own seminars, which will include Levels I/II, III and the first ever Level IV held in Australia. This will complete our year in wonderful fashion, true to the phrase “what you are doing is bringing light and information onto the planet”.
Building Our Practitioners: Level IV and New Course Updates
We remain committed to developing all of you as practitioners and, as most of you know, this is now the second year we’ve offered Level IV. This program helps practitioners increase their confidence and ease with the work and also prepares them to become mentors and teaching assistants. Last year we had 30 graduates from this program who are actively working in their communities in stronger and renewed fashions. In addition, many of them join us weekly around the world to help as teaching assistants during our seminars. These dedicated volunteers are wonderful in their work and are also available to you for assistance in your own efforts as a developing practitioner. You may locate them on our Directory, by selecting “IV” under the “Levels Completed” search box. Mentors are now available to assist you across the US, in Canada, Australia and Europe.
If you’d like to become a mentor or a teaching assistant, the Level IV course is available to you once you:
1. Have practiced for at least 6 months after completing Level III, and
2. Can demonstrate commitment and ownership of the work.
Our remaining 2004 Level IV courses will be held in Sedona, just prior to the Mastery Conference, and in Sydney in December. You may apply for or learn more about the classes by emailing info@TheReconnection.com or by calling our office.
We are in the process of creating new seminars and courses to enhance your skills and knowledge, as well as continuously refining the courses we are offering. Any suggestions for courses you would like to see offered is greatly appreciated. If there are areas you would like to learn more about, chances are, others would like that too!
Healing Stories
If you have a healing story, either your own or one of your client’s, please send it to us at info@TheReconnection.com, or fax it to us at 323.960.0011. If your story is selected, then it, too, might appear in a future issue of Between the Lines!
“Pearls of Wisdom”
As many of you have experienced, read and enjoyed, Eric has been known to share some wonderful and insightful things to help us along the way. We are thrilled to share some of those sayings here. Enjoy!
“Breakthroughs can happen when you are minding your own business.”-Eric Pearl
We’d love to hear about your recent breakthroughs. Please write to us at info@TheReconnection.com and share your experiences. If you like, we might include them in future issues of Between the Lines!
Stay in Touch! … Send us Your Pictures
Here’s a call to all you photo buffs. If you have pictures of the seminars, local gatherings or events that you would like to share, please send them on to us! As you know, we are building a photo gallery of our Tour and Events on the web, and we would love to be able to select from some of your photos.
If you do have pictures, please send them digitally to: info@TheReconnection.com. If you’re not sure how to do this, email or phone us at our office and we’ll help you.
In Closing
Remember, we love to see all of you at our events. We invite you to attend any of our Essence lectures as our guests, and you may also bring your friends and family as YOUR guests, free of charge, to share this work with them. Simply call our office or email us with the dates and cities you wish to attend so that we can save a place for you! We look forward to seeing you this year!
Also, it’s important to re-steep yourself in the philosophy of the work as well as refresh yourself on the work itself. Special retake fees are available so that you may attend the Level I/II and Level III seminars more than just once and further your education.
As many of you know, no two weekends are entirely the same. Eric discusses different issues and continuously refines the seminars. Remember the first time any of us attended the Level I/II and Level III seminar? We were so focused on “getting it right” and learning the work that we missed much of what Eric taught. There are always so many things going in the seminars on many, many levels. Take advantage of the special fees to retake the seminars not only to reinforce and refine what you already know, yet to gain more insight and better understanding of your work, of Reconnective Healing® and The Reconnection®, so that you can truly offer others the fullness of you and the fullness of this work.
Well, that’s it for now. As you can tell, things have started off extremely well in 2004, and we’re looking forward to seeing all of you in the near future, especially the first 375 of you who register for the Sedona Mastery and Business Development Conference!
We thank each and every one of you for all that you do. You must see that you are a master. You must know that you are a master. Center yourself in that vision and knowledge, and bring the healings in from that centered place.
Be well!
Eric, Doug, Susan, Jamye, Lee, Hobie, Pat and Maria
